L-shape

Two zones at a right angle — swim in one leg, play in the other

The L-shape is really two pools sharing water: a long leg for swimming and a shorter leg for steps, play or a tanning ledge. The right angle lets the pool wrap a terrace or house corner, and the zones separate naturally — swimmers keep their lane while kids stay in the shallow leg.

  • Families who also swim laps
  • Wrapping a terrace or corner
  • Separating shallow play areas

Puntos fuertes

  • True zoning: swim lane and play area don't collide
  • Hugs terraces and building corners beautifully
  • The short leg is a natural shallow zone with steps
  • More perimeter for seating and access

Contras

  • More wall per litre than compact shapes — higher build cost
  • The inner corner needs thought in circulation planning
  • Covers are harder: two rectangles or a custom shape
