Who operates PoolPlanner

PoolPlanner is operated by Kocsmarszky Zsolt, an individual established in Hungary.

What the service is

PoolPlanner lets you choose a pool shape, set its dimensions and depths, pick finishes and fittings, look at the result in 3D, and export a construction-style drawing and a share link. It also hosts a public gallery of designs people have chosen to publish.

The core tool is free and needs no account. An account is required only to save a design to the service, to publish one to the gallery, and to upvote someone else's.

The drawings are not construction documents

This is the most important clause here, so it is not buried at the bottom.

Everything PoolPlanner produces — the 3D view, the figures for volume, surface area, excavation and equipment, and the exported blueprint — is a concept drawing generated from the numbers you typed. It is not an engineering document. It has not been checked by a structural engineer, it does not account for your soil, water table, slope, drainage, frost line, setbacks, fencing or barrier requirements, electrical or plumbing codes, or anything else specific to your site or your jurisdiction.

Before you excavate, build, order materials or commit money, have a licensed pool builder, contractor, architect or structural engineer review the design and produce real construction documents. Treat PoolPlanner's output as a conversation starter with that professional, and nothing more.

Pools are dangerous. Depth, steps, barriers, gates, alarms and drain covers are safety matters governed by local law, and PoolPlanner does not check any of them for you.

Your account

Sign-in is by a one-time link sent to your email address; there is no password. Keep access to that address secure — anyone who can read your mail can sign in as you.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.

You may delete your account at any time by writing to the contact address above.

Your designs, and publishing them

Your designs are yours. We claim no ownership of them.

When you publish a design to the gallery you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce and make it available to the public as part of the gallery — including generating preview images of it and showing it on cards, detail pages and share previews. That licence exists only so the gallery can work.

You can unpublish a design at any time, which withdraws it from the gallery. Copies that other people have already made, exported, screenshotted or shared are outside our control.

By publishing, you confirm the design is yours to publish and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Acceptable use

Do not use PoolPlanner to:

• publish anything unlawful, infringing, misleading, or designed to harass
• impersonate another person or misrepresent who made a design
• attempt to break, overload, probe or circumvent the service or its security
• scrape, bulk-download or resell the gallery or the library
• present a PoolPlanner drawing as certified, engineered or approved work

Availability, and changes to the service

The service is free and provided as-is. There is no uptime commitment, no guarantee that a feature will keep existing, and no guarantee that a design saved today will be retrievable tomorrow — though we will not delete your work casually.

Keep your own copy of anything that matters to you. The designer exports a JSON file and a blueprint image for exactly this reason.

We may change, suspend or discontinue the service, and may remove content from the gallery, at our discretion.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that any design is buildable, safe, structurally sound, code-compliant, or accurate; that any figure it reports is correct; or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither the operator nor anyone acting for them is liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising out of or connected with your use of the service — whether the claim is in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised such loss was possible.

This expressly includes any loss, cost, injury or damage arising from construction, excavation or renovation work carried out in reliance on a PoolPlanner design, drawing or figure.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free service is zero, and (b) EUR 100.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold the operator harmless against any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising from your use of the service, anything you publish to the gallery, your breach of these terms, or construction work carried out in reliance on a design you made here.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Hungary have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you use the service as a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law of your own country that cannot be set aside by agreement.

Changes to these terms

These terms were last changed on 12 September 2026 (version 2026-09-12). If they change substantively we will say so on this page and, for account holders, ask for acceptance again. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
