Refund and Cancellation Policy

PoolPlanner's core tool is free. The one thing you can pay for is the Pro plan, and this page says how to get your money back if it was not what you wanted. The short version: write to us within 30 days and you get a full refund, without being asked why.

In effect since 12 September 2026 · version 2026-09-12

What there is to buy

Drawing a pool, viewing it in 3D, sharing a link to it and exporting it as JSON are free, and need no account. Most of what this site does costs nothing and always has.

The Pro plan is a single payment that unlocks the construction-style blueprint export and the sun loungers, permanently. It is not a subscription: there is no renewal, no recurring charge, and nothing that lapses.

30-day money-back guarantee

If you buy Pro and it is not what you wanted, write to us within 30 days of the purchase and we will refund it in full. You do not have to give a reason and you do not have to argue the point.

The refund goes back to the payment method you paid with. Once it is approved the money is usually with you within five to ten working days, depending on your bank or card issuer — that last stretch is not ours to hurry.

If you are in the EU or the UK: your right of withdrawal

Consumers buying at a distance in the European Union and the United Kingdom have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days, without giving a reason. That right stands alongside the guarantee above; where the two differ, whichever is better for you is the one that applies.

Pro unlocks the moment the payment succeeds, which makes it digital content supplied before the withdrawal period has run. In principle that can bring the statutory right to an end. We do not rely on it: the 30-day guarantee above is offered in every case, and it is longer than the statutory 14 days.

There is no subscription to cancel

Pro is charged once. There is no renewal date, no card kept on file for a later charge, and nothing you need to cancel to avoid being billed again.

If you have been charged twice for Pro, that is a mistake rather than a policy. Write to us and the duplicate is refunded whether or not 30 days have passed.

How to ask for a refund

Write to hello@poolplanner.app, from the email address on the account or naming it. Say that you want a refund — that is the whole requirement.

Refund requests are answered within five working days. If we need anything more to find the payment, we will ask for it in that reply.

What happens after a refund

The account goes back to the free plan. The blueprint export and the sun loungers stop being available, and a design that used them keeps its shape and dimensions but loses those extras.

Nothing you have drawn is deleted. Your designs stay in the account, anything you published stays in the gallery until you remove it, and the free tool keeps working for as long as you want it.

Closing your account

You can have the account and everything in it deleted at any time, refund or no refund. Write to the address above and it is removed, along with the designs published under it.

Deleting an account is not by itself a refund request. If you want both, say so and both will be done.

If we get it wrong

If you were charged for something you did not buy, charged after a payment that appeared to fail, or the tool did not do what this site says it does, the 30-day window does not apply. Write to us and it will be put right.

Before asking your bank to reverse a charge, please write to hello@poolplanner.app first. A chargeback takes months and costs a fee at both ends; an email is usually answered the same week and gets you the same money back sooner.

Changes

This policy was last changed on 12 September 2026. A change is never retroactive: the version in force on the day you paid is the one that governs that payment.
