Coping

The ring of finished stone or masonry that caps the pool wall at the waterline — the edge your hand grabs and your eye reads as the pool's outline.

Typical width is 30–40 cm. Travertine and porcelain are the common choices; the coping can match or deliberately contrast the surrounding deck.
